The G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation Art Collection comprises more than 70 artworks by emerging and renowned Greek and international artists, including Magdalena Abakanowicz, Lynda Benglis, Costas Varotsos, George Gyparakis, Rena Papaspyrou, Georgia Kotretsos, Theodoros Zafeiropoulos, Yorgos Rimenidis, Ileana Arnaoutou, Ismene King, Maro Fasouli, Alexandros Laios and Ami Yamasaki.
A culmination of the Foundation’s thirty-year long efforts to strengthen contemporary artistic leadership and innovation, the prize offers contemporary artists the opportunity to create a site specific artwork that will join an important cultural heritage.
The G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation Research Residency programme – inaugurated in the Fall of 2022 – aims to bring together cultural practitioners from all over the world.
Care Ecologies is a multifaceted project, highlighting different aspects of care, the promotion of contemporary art, and fostering a solid relationship between contemporary artistic practices and the social space.
Part of our mission is the transmission of knowledge to future generations. We partner with other organisations and foundations to coordinate and realise educational initiatives for students, educators and guests.
