The G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation is strongly committed to supporting people and communities in need. Respecting this commitment, and understanding the needs of today, we carry out initiatives that help individuals, promote our local community, and have a positive effect on society as a whole.
Focusing primarily on the society of Crete, we aim to support human capital at the birthplace of our founders, to strengthen our local community and contribute to the upgrade of its cultural life. We promote education and learning by supporting schools in Agios Nikolaos, either through donating much needed equipment or through realising ambitious projects (building school libraries).
Through various actions and initiatives, on the one hand we support local business activity and the promotion of local products, while on the other hand, we provide financial assistance (and donations of kind) to organisations, vulnerable groups and individuals in need.
Similarly, we promote volunteerism in our hotels, aiming at the protection of the environment and the financial support of charities and organisations helping people in need of medical assistance.
The opening of the Library of the 3rd Primary School of Agios Nikolaos took place in a festive atmosphere on Friday, October 18, 2019. The project was undertaken by the G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation.
