Residency 2022

Hara Kouki is an Assistant Professor (under appointment) in the field of ‘Social Inequalities and Social Discriminations’ of the Department of Sociology of the School of Social Sciences of the University of Crete. She also teaches at the Hellenic Open University, at the postgraduate program ‘Social and Solidarity Economy (KAO).’ She is a graduate of the Department of History and Archeology of the University of Athens, the University of Kent, and the European University of Florence, and has completed her PhD at Birkbeck College, University of London. She has worked as a researcher at ELIAMEP (Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy) in Athens, at the Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies of the European University of Florence, at the Open Lab of Newcastle University and at the Department of Geography at Durham University in Great Britain. She has published texts and participated in research projects on issues of exclusion and inclusion, collective mobilizations and immigration, solidarity and community care.
