«Untitled» was added to the Foundation’s collection in 2004
Avid photographer Kiros Kokkas (born 1961) spent more than two decades travelling the world and capturing his impressions on camera. “Untitled” (2004) comes from his personal collection of photographs and is a composition of three photos in horizontal apposition which are joint through the common line of the horizon. Without distinctive features, the human figures are outlined in the background of the sky, giving the impression of a photographic negative. Thus, the three photos are combined into a single balanced composition of painting quality which creates a sense of calmness to the viewer.
