Delivered by Theodoro Zafeiropoulo & Yiorgos Rimenidis, winners of the 1st Art Prize
The G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation addressed an open invitation for the 2nd consecutive year to the students of Aghios Nikolaos for the 2nd Educational Program, designed in the context of the “Come With The Wind” project. The program, this year named “Wind Stories,” was designed and implemented by the winners of the G. & A Mamidakis Foundation Art Award 2019, and creators of the work, the visual artist Theodoros Zafiropoulos and the architect Giorgos Rimenides.
The workshop was addressed to secondary education students and designed to focus on the content, research, design and production process of the project entitled “Come With The Wind” completed in the summer of 2019 at Minos Beach art hotel, by the artist Theodoros Zafeiropoulos and the architect Yorgos Rimenidis, winners of the Art Prize G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation–Artists-in-Residence Program.
The key is for students to communicate, collaborate, exchange experiences through interaction and collective effort, to experiment with the concepts of space, sound, proportion, composition, landscape. The basic principle of the workshop is the activation of visual perception, the cultivation of positive feelings for Art, to become familiar with complex techniques, with artists, movements and various forms of artistic expression.
